Michelle joined Statesman in 2010 with over 17 years of banking experience. Michelle’s primary responsibilities include financial management and reporting, compliance, and human resources. She also works closely with our bank customers to provide additional support for the firm´s Small Business Administration (SBA) loan packaging and field examination service offerings. Michelle began her career as a full-time teller while attending college and steadily worked her way up to Vice President of SBA Lending at a major bank where she focused on financing high-growth, lower-middle to middle-market companies. During her bank tenure, Michelle managed the credit analyst training program as well as the implementation of high-demand lending programs, such as the Export Working Capital program, to better serve the needs of small business borrowers. In 2007, she headed the Training and Education and the Runge Scholarship Foundation committees for the Houston Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders. Most recently, Michelle served on the boards of a Certified Development Corporation and the NHMCCD Small Business Development Center.
Michelle is a graduate of the University of Houston, where she received a BBA in Finance. She is married with two children and is an active parent volunteer with the Cub Scouts.
